About the speakers

Janet Harder, SLP, BCBA

Janet Harder is a Speech-language Pathologist (SLP), Board Certified Behavior Analyst, parent coach trainer, certified Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) trainer and therapist. She believes that parents are both the experts and critical lifelong advocates for their children and parent coaching is central to her work with families. At JHMJ Coaching & Consulting, Janet and Michaela practice JASPER, ESDM, and have participated in research for The Parent and Child Early (PACE) Coaching Project. JHMJ is located on Vancouver Island in Canada, however, they provide trainings to clinicians all over the world.

Michaela Jelen, M.Ed.

Michaela Jelen is a special educator, behavior consultant, and a doctoral student. Her PhD studies are focused on parent coaching in early intervention. Michaela is a certified Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) therapist and trainer, a parent coach and trainer, and has a strong interest in evidence-informed practices.

This workshop meets the qualifications for 3 hours of continuing education units as required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Our Village is approved by the BACB to offer continuing education units (ACE Provider Number: OP-20-3298).
