The AutPlay® Framework and Teenage Clients: Considerations and Approaches

About this live event

Working with neurodivergent teenagers presents unique opportunities and challenges that require specialized understanding, creativity, and flexibility. This training, “The AutPlay® Framework and Teenage Clients: Considerations and Approaches,” explores how practitioners can effectively apply the AutPlay® Therapy Framework to meet the developmental, emotional, and social needs of adolescent clients. Participants will learn how to adapt core AutPlay® principles—including play-based interventions, regulation strategies, and social connection—within a teen-friendly framework. Special attention will be given to the developmental differences and evolving identity formation that occur during adolescence, as well as ways to collaborate with families while supporting a teenager’s growing independence and self-advocacy.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify key developmental and therapeutic considerations when applying the AutPlay® Framework with teenage clients.
  • Integrate strategies that support identity awareness, emotional regulation, and social engagement within an affirming teen-centered approach
  • Apply neurodiversity affirming techniques for including families the play therapy process while promoting autonomy and self-advocacy in teenage clients.

  • Robert Jason Grant Ed.D, LPC, NCC, RPT-S

    Dr. Robert Jason Grant is the creator of AutPlay® Therapy. He is a therapist, supervisor, and consultant and utilizes several years of advanced training and his own lived neurodivergent experience to provide affirming services to children and their families. He is an international trainer and keynote presenter and multi-published author of several articles and books.

CE Process Info

A continuing education certificate for the event will be obtained using the website, CE-Go. After the event, you will receive an email containing a link to CE-Go.   (This link will be sent to the email account you used to register for the event).  This is a live webinar event via ZOOM.  It qualifies for Non-Contact CE's with the APT.

Upon accessing the CE-Go website, you will be able to:

• Download your continuing education certificate in a PDF format

Refund

Cancellations & Refunds:
Requests for refunds must be made in writing by e-mail to: hello@ourvillageslc.org  Requests must be made at least 1 week prior to the training to receive a refund. There is a $15.00 administrative fee for all refunds.

There are no refunds for cancellations after the deadline of 1 week prior to the event; however, registration may be transferred to another individual, or you can use your credit to attend a future workshop/webinar with Our Village, within 1 year from the date of the original event.  There are no price breaks for partial attendance.
